How do I visit a Tend clinic during the red light traffic protection framework?

  1. Those who book an in-clinic appointment will first be assessed by our Tend care team to see if in-person medical care is needed.

  2. If the care team decides that they need to see you in-clinic, you will be contacted on the morning of your appointment to run through some screening questions such as any symptoms you may have or any exposure to COVID. All patients will be asked to remain in their vehicle or on foot in our car park. Once you have arrived, please check in on the app or give us a call on 0800 HEY TEND (439 8363) and your clinician will come out to you.

  3. Patients are encouraged to visit the clinic by themselves unless the presence of a support person is important to whānau and risks are explained, e.g. parent and child, elderly couple.

  4. In-person appointments are staggered where possible to reduce patient numbers in the clinic.

  5. A hand sanitiser station is located in the waiting area, as well as access to masks. You will be asked to wear a mask the whole time you are in the clinic.

  6. Remember to sign in on the COVID-19 Tracer app which is available at both entrances.

  7. Two-metre physical distancing is required in waiting areas.
