I am a familiar face for the patients at Symonds Street Medical Centre and glad to be a part of Tend family now. I have served as GP and panel physician for immigration NZ for several years in culturally and clinically diverse population.

Trained in bustling city of Karachi Pakistan, moved to beautiful Aotearoa to make it my second home. I completed my competency exams and successfully worked at variety of rotations at ADHB, Capital and Coast and Wairarapa DHB. I will be pursuing my fellowship training soon.

I love flexibility of general practice and support creating balance between work and family time. I am a mother of three young children and love spending time with them. We enjoy walks, table discussions, house chores, arts, board games and books.

Areas of interest:

I believe in health equity. Engaging with my patients with empathy and respect, and providing them with explanations of their medical conditions in simple words is my priority. This helps them in making informed choices about their health creating a sense of empowerment.
