Dr. Jose Manuel Fontanilla
Manuel is an accomplished Family Physician, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Emergency Clinician with over 40 years experience practicing Medicine in New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
He is vocationally registered and a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners since 2011.Dr JM Fontanilla is a Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and Fellow of the Philippine College of Surgeons since 1983. He was a tenured and recognized faculty member of University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Philippines. He was also a clinical Orthopaedic instructor at the University of the Philippines and the Philippine General Hospital system.
In Oman, he received nationwide recognition after successfully separating a pair of Siamese twins conjoint in the pelvis with a team of pediatric surgeons. His expertise was Spine Trauma and Scoliosis surgery.
Dr Fontanilla is skilled in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and Spinal conditions. He holds a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from the University of Otago in 2006. He performs orthobiologic treatment of osteoarthritis and skin surgeries for precancerous or skin cancers.
