Dr Sally McLaren brings over 20 years of experience to the Tend team, enjoying the diversity of general practice while she partners with patients on their health journey.

A native of Hamilton, Dr Sally grew up on farms around Waikato before moving to Auckland to complete her medical training.  She then spent 18 months as the house surgeon in Waikato Hospital before heading to London for her OE, where she spent the next four years working and travelling.  It was at this time gained her Diploma In Child Health (DCH).

Returning to Aotearoa, Dr Sally joined the Green Bay Medical Centre in West Auckland, building up the bulk of her experience, with her general practice experience in the fields of paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage children. She also likes outdoor activities such as running, cycling, skiing and walking some of New Zealand's amazing walks.

General Practice is the first port of call for many of us when it comes to a health concern. It’s a privilege to be able to be that person who actively listens to patients, providing the best guidance and care that I can.
