Supporting women's health: Care tailored to every stage of life

From reproductive health and hormonal cycles to cardiovascular and bone health, women experience distinct medical conditions throughout their lives.
At Tend, we place huge importance on women's health as we know women's health is vital to the wellbeing of whānau, communities and society as a whole. Women who invest in their health not only improve their individual outcomes but also strengthen the collective future for generations to come.

Many of our clinicians have a special interest in women's health and have extra training in medical procedures unique to women, such as the insertion and or removal of LARCs (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) and cervical screening.

Our comprehensive health screening services are designed to address a wide range of women’s health concerns, including heavy periods, osteoporosis, menopause, cervical health, infertility, and endometriosis.

By prioritising regular screenings and proactive care, we empower women to take control of their health, navigate life’s unique challenges, and create a healthier future for themselves and their whānau. Let’s work together to ensure you receive the care and support you deserve.

Tend Women's Health Week

In 2023 we noticed a gaping hole in Aotearoa's public health calendar with no campaign dedicated to women's health.

As a result we launched Tend Women's Health Week in 2024.

Head on over to the website which is jam-packed with videos, articles, podcasts and stories about everything to do with women's health.

Let's talk periods: understanding your cycle

Periods are a natural part of life, but how do you know what’s normal and what’s not? While every woman’s cycle is unique, certain signs shouldn’t be ignored. Heavy periods, severe pain, irregular cycles, or bleeding that disrupts your daily life may indicate an underlying health concern such as endometriosis, fibroids, or hormonal imbalances.

It’s time to break the cycle of discomfort and uncertainty. By understanding what’s normal and when to seek help, you can take charge of your reproductive health and overall wellbeing. At Tend, our clinicians are here to listen, guide, and provide the care you need to feel your best. Let’s start the conversation today because your health matters.
