Women's health

Heavy periods, osteoporosis, menopause, cervical screening, infertility, endometriosis - women's health is whānau health.

From reproductive health and hormonal cycles to cardiovascular and bone health, women experience distinct medical conditions throughout their lives.
At Tend we place huge importance on women's health as we know women's health is vital to the wellbeing of whānau, communities and society as a whole. Women who invest in their health not only improve their individual outcomes but also strengthen the collective future for generations to come.

Many of our clinicians have a special interest in women's health and have extra training in medical procedures unique to women such as the insertion and or removal of LARC's (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) and cervical screening.
Women's Health Week

In 2023 we noticed a gaping hole in Aotearoa's public health calendar with no campaign dedicated to women's health.

As a result we launched Tend Women's Health Week in 2024.

Head on over to the website which is jam-packed with videos, articles, podcasts and stories about everything to do with women's health.
