Emie is a health improvement practitioner with a profound background in mental health and addictions. Starting her career while pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work in 2019, she worked as a support worker and later as a mental health case manager for Te Whatu Ora community services, alongside earning her postgraduate certificate through AUT.

Emie works with people through a holistic lens. This includes considering someone's biological, psychological, social, cultural factors and needs. Furthermore, she is interested in neuro developmental challenges and understanding how trauma impacts people.

Emie is committed to helping individuals realise and pursue their vocational goals. Inspired by a blend of curiosity about human psychology and a belief in social justice, she finds great satisfaction in empowering clients to discover their strengths and abilities.

Outside of her professional life, Emie enjoys pottery, poetry, painting, knitting, spending time with family, organising the house and drinking coffee in the sunshine!

I enjoy walking alongside people as they pursue their dreams and aspirations and I see it as a privilege to support others when they are struggling with difficult times. I find it very rewarding to watch as other discover their own strengths and abilities.
