Frequently asked questions

Do I need to enrol with Tend?
No, you do not need to be enrolled with Tend to use our services. We welcome casual patients nationwide.

If you do enrol you will enjoy cheaper fees, access to more medical services, app features and other benefits.

Can you send a prescription to my pharmacy?
Absolutely! If your doctor decides you need a prescription they will ask you where we should send your prescription. We will send your script to your chosen pharmacy electronically, through the NZ ePrescription Service.

You will need to collect your medication from that pharmacy. If you use an online pharmacy, we can send your ePrescription there.
How do I access my test results?
If your doctor ordered some tests, your test results can be found by clicking the 'Account' icon in the bottom navigation bar of the app. Select the 'Name' of the person under 'Profiles' and then select 'Test Results' under 'Health Records'.

You will see a red dot on your account if you have a new result. Follow the red dots to read the test result. Depending on the test conducted, results appear either in a table or as a pdf attachment.

If you recently enrolled with Tend we will display all your historical test results in the app, once we have transferred your medical files across to Tend.
How do I order a repeat prescription?
If you are enrolled with us and on any long terms medications, they will be preloaded in the app under the 'Medications' icon in the bottom navigation bar of the app. Follow the prompts to order more of your regular medications.

Depending on the condition and length of time since we saw you, we may need to see you for a clinical review before we can re-issue you a repeat prescription.

If you do require a consultation with a doctor, you will not be charged the repeat prescription fee, you will just be charged for the standard 15 minute GP consultation.
