Kate Matherson
Kate Matherson's medical background and training include 4 years at Waikato Hospital, where she worked in the burns, plastics, and urology ward. She also spent some time at Taranaki Base Hospital doing agency work before joining Tend Greerton and Bethlehem.
Kate has an interest in wound care, which stems from her extensive expertise in this area. She also finds fulfilment in women's health and acute care.
As a nurse, Kate derives satisfaction from working closely with people and having the opportunity to transform a challenging and often difficult time into a more positive and supportive experience for her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Kate loves spending quality time with her loved ones, including her family, friends, and her beloved golden retriever named Ollie. She actively participates in the crossfit community. Living near the beach, it's her favourite place to spend her free time.
