Alwin (pronounced El-win) is a Health Improvement Practitioner at Tend Waltham and Beckford.

With a degree in social work, Alwin is a registered social worker with the Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB). Over the past eight years, he has gained diverse experience, including working with the blind in Singapore, supporting family reunification services, and contributing to Care & Protection services in Auckland.

Alwin is passionate about empowering individuals on their health and well-being journeys. He values autonomy and self-determination and emphasises collaboration in his work, striving to support people in achieving their goals.

Originally from Singapore, Alwin moved to New Zealand two years ago and now calls Christchurch home. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking in the Port Hills, hitting the gym, jogging, and playing bass guitar for his church.

Autonomy and self-determination are values that I believe that people should be supported with.
