Dr. Anibal Martinez
Anibal is our Clinical Director and a family GP at Tend Linwood. Originally from Uruguay, he began his medical career with a focus on research and teaching before moving to the United States, where he completed his family medicine training at the University of North Carolina. He then served on the faculty at the University of Colorado, training future family GPs.
Anibal has a deep passion for family medicine, embracing a holistic approach that considers the health of individuals, families, and communities. He enjoys all aspects of general practice, from routine consultations to minor surgical procedures, skin cancer removals, and joint injections. Driven by his commitment to community well-being, he strives to ensure patient-centred care and helps clinics succeed in serving their communities.
Beyond his clinical work, Anibal finds joy in connecting with his patients and supporting their growth and self-care. In his spare time, he loves cooking, traveling, and exploring subjects like religion, politics, and physics.
