Ben is our fabulous GP Fellow. He completed his medical training in Christchurch over ten years ago and moved to Auckland immediately in search of colourful city lights and better hospital food. He is the product of an engineer and a teacher, so derives joy in both unpacking complex medical problems and explaining them in simple terms.

He sometimes teaches for the Auckland Medical Programme, and was once their Director of Student Affairs. He has worked at all ends of Auckland from Browns Bay to Waiuku, to the CBD. Ben can speak Bahasa Melayu. He is adept at prescribing PrEP.

In his spare time, you will find him tinkering with his home karaoke setup which he has managed to link to YouTube. He has been inadvertently learning IT to find ways to repair it.

Because I have an engineer and a teacher as my parents, I find joy in both unpacking complex medical problems and explaining them in simple terms.
