Chamal qualified as a doctor in 2009 and trained as GP in the UK after working in a few different areas of medicine including general medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, paediatrics and sports medicine.

He enjoys the variety of patients and all aspects of family general practice, especially establishing long-term relationships with individuals and families.

Outside of work, he is a keen traveler and likes to experience different cultures, food and wine. He has explored over 50 countries and enjoys being outdoors, hiking and climbing.

I enjoy the variety that general practice brings and the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their whānau.
