Jo Newton

Jo Newton is the nurse lead across all 4 Tend clinics in Tauranga. Her training encompasses various areas including emergency nursing, cardio-thoracic intensive care, medical/surgical/orthopaedic care, diving medicine, and primary health. Her extensive background enables her to provide comprehensive and specialised care to her patients.

She has a particular interest in acute care, sexual health, and women's health. She finds these areas of interest to be compelling as they allow her to make a positive impact on her patients' lives and help them return home in a better state of health than when they arrived.

As a clinician, Jo enjoys the opportunity to educate and provide information to her patients, empowering them to make the right decisions for their health and well-being. She takes pride in her role as a healthcare provider, knowing that her knowledge and expertise can make a difference in people's lives.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys spending time at the beach, practicing yoga, and indulging in good food.
