Kirsty is a registered nurse with a background in paediatric nursing. Her professional interests include mental health, women's health, holistic models of care, preventative healthcare, equitable healthcare, health innovation, and technology.

She's drawn to these fields because she sees the substantial potential for refining the way care is delivered, particularly in mental and women's health. Kirsty is a strong advocate for prevention and believes that through holistic care models, better health outcomes can be achieved. She believes the idea that healthcare equity is crucial for the well-being of all New Zealanders and recognises the impactful role of health innovation and technology can play in this.

As a clinician, Kirsty appreciates the diversity of experiences and continuous learning opportunities that nursing offers. Her favourite part about nursing is the human connection.

Outside of work, Kirsty spends time with her family, enjoys nature, and attends music gigs and comedy shows.

I believe we can make a bigger difference through prevention using holistic models of care. I believe healthcare needs to be equitable so that all New Zealanders have good health outcomes.
