Michelle brings a wealth of experience to her role as Nurse Manager at Tend Ashburton. She began her nursing career in the UK, spending five years as a theatre and PACU nurse before moving to New Zealand. With over 12 years in general practice, she has taken on leadership roles in nursing management, providing team support, patient care and nursing education.

She has a special interest in health promotion and diabetes, believing that education and proactive healthcare can significantly enhance individuals’ health awareness and outcomes.

Michelle takes great pride in her role as a clinician, feeling privileged to support, guide and provide care that improves overall health and well-being.

Beyond her work in healthcare, Michelle is an active member of her community, serving as a volunteer firefighter with the local fire brigade. In her free time, she is a passionate golfer and enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

My special interest is in health promotion and diabetes. These are keen interests for me as I believe promoting wellbeing and education can enhance an individual's health awareness and improve their overall health outcomes.
