Have you had an annual health check? When was your blood pressure last tested? You can book many routine health assessments in the app under services.

Annual health check-up

If you're over 30, we recommend you have an annual health review. It is a good idea to schedule this around your birthday so you remember to do it!

An annual health check allows us to get a complete picture of your well-being. It's an opportunity for you to share any concerns or questions you might have about your health.

We can review your screening status, update your health measurements and chat about your overall health. Blood tests may be required.

Blood pressure test

You can’t feel if you have high blood pressure so it's really important to get your blood pressure measured periodically. It's a simple painless test and can indicate a whole lot about your health.

Our nurses can take your blood pressure, and it is bookable in the app. You get the results straight away.

Normal blood pressure is around 120/80 or lower.

High blood pressure is when it is consistently around or over 140/90. Various factors may influence your actual reading.

Diabetes review

If you suffer from Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes it's essential you have your annual check-up so we can monitor your condition. This service is FREE and bookable in the app.

During the check up we'll take your blood pressure, check your weight and do some blood tests.

You may also get an eye examination and foot check.

Electrocardiogram ECG

An ECG is the most common test for heart conditions. The ECG machine records your heart's rhythm onto paper through sticky electrodes which are placed on your chest, arms and legs.

The recording will show if the heart muscle is damaged or short of oxygen.

An ECG is a simple non-invasive test that takes just 5 minutes. It's bookable in the app, however you'll need a referral from a clinician to have it done.

Lung function spirometry test

Spirometry is a common breathing test used to check how well your lungs work.

It measures how much air you breathe in, how much you breathe out and how quickly you breathe out.

It's a simple and painless test and takes 15 to 30 minutes.

Spirometry is available at Tend Pakuranga, Linwood and Ashburton clinics.
