Enrolled patients
Enrolment is currently available to residents in Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury. An enrolled patient is someone who has chosen Tend as their primary care provider.
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a highly skilled healthcare professional with advanced education, clinical training, and extensive experience in patient care. Becoming an NP requires a minimum of nine years of training, including a master's degree and advanced clinical practice.
Nurse Practitioners have the expertise to diagnose conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans—just like a GP. They are independent clinicians with the ability to provide high-quality, patient-centred care, especially for managing long-term conditions, minor illnesses, and preventative health.
At Tend, our Nurse Practitioners work as an integral part of your care team, ensuring you receive expert medical attention, timely treatment, and a holistic approach to your health. Rest assured, when you see an NP, you're in highly capable hands.
