Why do you charge for repeat prescriptions?

Every repeat prescription involves clinical time to ensure we are providing a safe and reliable service to our patients. This fee covers the clinical time to review the medication and patient record and ensure it is safe to reissue the medication. 

Depending on the condition and length of time since we saw you, we may need to see you for a clinical review before we can reissue you a repeat prescription. If you do require a consultation with a doctor, you will not be charged the repeat prescription fee, you will just be charged for the standard 15 minute GP/NP consultation.
