The easiest way is to add a debit or credit card to the Tend app - just like Uber, payment is deducted after your consult. You must add a credit/debit card to create a Tend account in the app.
Otherwise, you'll need to call your local clinic to book appointments, manage your health and make payments at reception after your visit.
Paying by Credit/Debit Card in the Tend app
At Tend, we use bank-grade security, and all payment details are encrypted for your protection.
- You'll be asked to enter your credit or debit card details when booking your first appointment or enrolling—just like Uber.
- To validate your payment method, we place a temporary hold for the cost of the appointment when you book.
- The return of held funds depends on your bank's processing times and should be released within three working days.
- You won’t be charged until after your appointment, so if you’re eligible for a discount or fee waiver, you can discuss it with your care team.
- Community Services Card holders: Upload a photo of the front and back of your card and send it to our Customer Experience Team via the Tend app to ensure you're charged correctly. Please do this at least 48 hours before your first appointment.
