
Dr Lauren Brenner
Dr. Lauren Brenner is a highly experienced medical professional who graduated from Otago University in 1999.
After graduating from Otago University in 1999, she served as a house surgeon at Middlemore and later honed her skills as a psychiatric registrar for three years. With over a decade of experience in general practice, Dr. Lauren has cultivated a keen interest in women’s health, mental health, and medicinal cannabis.
Her commitment to women’s health is demonstrated through her vocational training in sexual and reproductive health. She has spent many years working in family planning and sexual health clinics, championing women’s right to make informed decisions about their bodies, unplanned pregnancies, and family planning.
Alongside her focus on women’s health, Dr. Lauren is well-versed in mental health, with experience in the treatment of anxiety and depression.
Dr. Lauren values connecting with her patients and understanding their unique stories and family backgrounds. Her ultimate goal is to support her patients in achieving optimal health and well-being.
Outside of work, Dr. Lauren is a member of the Covert Theatre, where she performs improvisational theatre. She began performing early this year and also enjoys writing and performing poetry. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her children, walking her dog, and attending live theatre and music events.
